OPEN POSITIONS: Part-time Lecturers (Non-Senate)
SUMMER 2010

 

The Department of Asian American Studies at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), invites applications for part-time Lecturer positions (Non-Senate) with primary responsibility in teaching interdisciplinary courses in Asian American Studies for Summer Session 2010.  The six-week sessions include Summer Session A (first session, June 21-July 30, 2010) and Summer Session C (second session, August 2-September 10, 2010).

The UCLA Department of Asian American Studies offers a major, minor, a graduate concentration, and Master of Arts.

We are looking for applicants who can teach the following courses; however, we also welcome applicants who can offer other special topics courses that complement our curriculum:
  • Asian American History (C Session)
  • Asian American Literature and Culture (A Session)
  • Asian American Labor Issues (A Session)
  • Asian American Popular Culture (A or C Sessions)
  • Contemporary Asian American Communities (C Session)
  • Asian American Women (C Session)
  • Chinese American Studies (A or C Sessions)
  • Korean American Studies (A or C Sessions)
  • South Asian American Studies/Film/Popular Culture (A Session)
Requirements

Applicants with a Ph.D. preferred.  Applicants who are advanced to candidacy or who have a M.A., M.F.A., or equivalent will be considered.
