Who should apply?

The project is open to all undergraduates. Students interested in sociology, education, anthropology, and political science fields may find this project of particular relevance to their academic interests, though students of any major may find this work valuable to their study and career aspirations.
We are particularly interested in students who are interested in working to improve the experiences of college students at UCLA.
Students interested in acquiring qualitative and/or quantitative research and assessment skills should apply.
Students who are interested in learning about consultancy should apply.
Interested students need to submit the following items through the URPI Application Form:
1. Resume or CV
2. Short answers to the following questions:
o How would participation in this internship contribute to your education and/or career goals?
o How do you see your strengths, skills, and previous experiences (research, academic, or otherwise) contributing to a URPI research team?

As a result of participating in the Undergraduate Research Partnership Initiative interns will be able to…
• Utilize sound research and assessment practices
• Articulate the foundations of both quantitative and qualitative research and assessment
• Address practical challenges presented by partner departments with a critical framework
• Understand standard consultancy practices
• Identify and synthesize relevant information into research and assessment reports
• Articulate practical recommendations for action based off of relevant collected data
