News: Mellon Mays Undergrad Fellowship Program Deadline

Are you engaged in research or hoping to get started in research? Apply for a research scholarship! The Undergraduate Research Center—Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences is currently accepting applications for two scholarship programs:

The Undergraduate Research Fellows Program. The URFP scholarship, which awards $1000 per quarter ($2000 total), supports students doing research with a faculty mentor for the 2015 winter and spring quarters. The application includes a research proposal and personal statement. URFP application deadline: November 30, 2014.

The Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellowship Program is a two-year program for students in designated fields who intend to pursue a PhD and a career in academia. The program aims to diversity the professoriate by increasing the number of faculty from underrepresented groups and also by supporting those with a demonstrated commitment to eradicating racial disparities in higher education. Students receive scholarship support during two academic years and two summers. The application includes a research proposal, personal statement, and letter of recommendation.MMUF application deadline: November 15, 2014.
