News: Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival Student Volunteer Opportunities

April 21, 2017 - 1:30pm

Visual Communications invites you to their annual film festival this year!

Their mission is to develop and support the voices of Asian American & Pacific Islander filmmakers and media artists who empower communities and challenge perspectives. As one of our most prominent programs, the 33rd Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival will be presented April 27 through May 4, 2017 at various venues throughout Little Tokyo, Hollywood, Koreatown, and the greater Los Angeles area.

Students will have access to screenings with certain discounts, especially if purchased as a group. This is a great opportunity to see exceptional films from national and international talents; and attend special programming such as conferences and transmedia projects.

If you are interested in volunteering, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator Krystle at

We have two volunteer orientation sessions coming up this weekend at Visual Communications:

Saturday April 22nd, 11:30a-1:00p

Saturday April 22nd, 2:00p-3:30p

120 Judge John Aiso Street, Basement Level | Los Angeles, CA 90012

Our office is located downstairs of East West Players. We are in the same building as East West Players and LA Artcore, but we are on the basement level.  Please enter the office from the back of the building, away from the street; if you are facing the back of the building, our office door is the one to the left side of the building, away from the driveway and close to the dumpster.

We don't have free parking, but you may want to try the Aiso Parking Garage (101 N Judge John Aiso St, Los Angeles, CA 90012), which is across the street from our building. (  It's $1.00 for the first 2 hours.
