OPEN TO ALL UNDERGRADS AND GRAD STUDENTS OF ALL MAJORS, AT UCLA AND BEYOND.

UCLA’s Guam Travel Study program takes you to the crossroads of American imperial expansion in the Pacific and the persistence of indigenous ways of life. Facilitated by Professor Keith L. Camacho of the UCLA Asian American Studies Department, students will spend a summer learning about social movements on the island and engaging in vital community-based knowledge and practices. By way of field trips to cultural landmarks, food fairs, local museums, and World War II battle sites, and partnerships with various non-profit organizations, students will immerse themselves in the island’s important political and social landscape.
