The Bruin Excellence & Student Transformation Grant Program is hosting a panel and discussion on solidarity practices within social movements.

Solidarity brings together leaders of racial justice social movements in Los Angeles. The panelists and their organizations work through solidarity frameworks to address systemic white supremacy and other intersecting forms of oppression. 

The panel features social movement leaders Melina Abdullah (Black Lives Matter - Los Angeles), Dahlia Ferlito (White People 4 Black Lives / SURJ Affiliate Los Angeles), Traci Ishigo (Vigilant Love), and Carlos Montes (Centro CSO), and moderated by UCLA PhD student and BLM-LA Arts & Culture liaison Shamell Bell.
