News: Beyond the Bars LA 2017 Fellowship

May 26, 2017 - 1:15pm

On October 13th, 14th & 15th, 2017, the Justice Work Group at UCLA will host Beyond the Bars LA: The End of Mass Incarceration, our inaugural conference to bring together community organizations, activists, policy makers, government, students and those directly impacted by issues of incarceration from across the nation.

The planning and production of the LA conference will be supported by the 2017 Beyond the Bars LA Fellows, a group of committed students selected to participate in a year long fellowship program designed to build competencies for the movement to end mass incarceration. Fellows will become members of the Justice Work Group, and support conference logistics through ongoing planning meetings and practical application of production skills.
